Why did I not get it sooner!

I love this dehumidifier! Both my wife and I moved to a new apartment in Pacifica, CA literally across the street from the beach. We normally leave our windows open so it vents a bit of fresh air but the problem is that humidity enters as well with the sea breeze. It got really damp in our apartment and so bad that I felt it every time I got in the blankets. I shopped around and found this dehumidifier online and thought it would be very helpful. When it came, no joke, it was like christmas. I tore it open with a twinkle in my eye and laughed with joy when I pulled it out. I read the instruction manual to make sure I didn't ruin anything and it was a simple 3-6 step process. I set it up in no time and plugged it in to the wall to see what this bad boy can do. Within 12 hours, this 25 Pint dehumidifier was full. It kept getting full for the next 4 days and now it is nice and dry in our 1 bedroom apartment. I really love it!
I gave it a five star because of its awesomeness and the vendors quickness in shipping. The product is amazing.
Be aware that this dehumidifier is no whisper technology machine. It is as loud as a portable fan but my wife loves it since she needs noise to help her fall asleep (drowns out our neighbors loud movie watching at 11 PM). Thanks Frigidaire, your the best!

Small dehumidifier

I searched reviews online for several days before buying this dehumidifier. I live in an extremely high humidity area, especially in the winter time. (lots of rain) and I am allergic to mold, So really needed a humidifier that can continue to run in colder temps. I am not disappointed. I call this a "moisture sucking dynamo". Like other reviewers, I have to mention that it isnt quiet. While it doesn't vibrate, it does blow air out of the top that is very similar to a box fan on high. So, that may deter some people, but not me, I like the 'white noise'. This is very effective at removing humidity. The drain bucket is easy to remove and replace, and has a convenient handle to carry it to the sink for dumping. It has 4 wheels for easy mobility, but the unit is not heavy at all, so picking it up to carry to another room is pretty easy. I'v had several dehumidifiers over the years and this is the best one so far. I highly recommend this item. I am very happy with my purchase, well worth the price.

I think this dehumidifier is well worth the price when using in a room that is suitable for a 25 pint per day unit. I wish I'd bought it sooner and put my old energy hogging unit out of its misery.
This little dehumidifier does the job well. It bought the humidity in the small partly finished part of my basement (about 400 sq ft) from 80% humidity down to a comfy 50-55% with the control knob somewhere in the middle position. I could set it for lower humidity, but would like to see my electric bill first; as I'm sure it would run more frequently. I have to empty the bucket approximately every 8 hours. You do have the option of hooking up a drain hose (purchased seperately) if you can locate it near a sink or drain. Remember, drains on portable dehumidifiers are gravity fed, and not pumped.
This dehumidifier blows the exhaust air straight up out of the top, so make sure that this is OK for you before you purchase. If not, look for a unit that blows the exhaust air out of the side instead. This thing blows air with enough force to move pictures hanging on the wall.
The only negative feature I have found has to do with the noise of rushing air coming out of the top during operation. It is quite loud, and therefore not really suitable for areas where people congregate and converse. It is perfect for the basement or a room that you will be only passing through.

This frigidaire de-humidifer is very effective at pulling moisture from the air. Other than the unit being a bit loud during operation, it has been useful during the heavy rains here in California. The humidistat and automatic shut-off are usefull and nice features. On days of heavy rain it has pulled it's 25 pint capacity within 24 hours, NICE.

I like this unit, in that, when the bucket is full, it is not too heavy to easily lift and dump.
