| I PURCHASED THIS FOR MY OFFICE TO REPLACE ANOTHER BRAND(THAT ONLY LASTED 14 MONTHS). I AM VERY IMPRESSED W/ THE QUALITY AND ROOM OF THE HAIER. HAIER IS A COMPANY IN CHINA, BUT THE PLANT THAT MAKES THIS REFRIGERATOR IS LOCATED IN THE USA. AT THIS PRICE ($150) YOU CAN BEAT IT. BTW, IT HAS A SMALL FREEZER COMPARTMENT WHICH IS NICE FOR KEEPING SMALL ITEM FROZEN. THE DELIVERY WAS FAST AND IT MAKES IT EASIER THAN TRYING TO HAUL ONE HOME FROM THE STORE. I GOT MINE W/ FREE DELIVERY AND NO TAXES THRU AMAZON. |

The refrigerator itself is well built and solid. I found that it had a very tight seal around the door which kept everything inside very cold. I turned off the refrigerator and let it sit overnight. The next day, the bottled water that I kept in the refrigerator was still cold. It uses plastic coated metal racks for shelving except for the glass shelf above the vegetable/fruit crisper. There is a handy door lock at the bottom of the door although the key itself is just a six-sided hex tool but it works.
The door can hold large and tall bottles in the door but not a gallon-sized jug. The shelves and freezer are full width which maximizes the interior of the refridgerator.
Now, the problem that I had with this refrigerator is the mfg packaging which seems nearly non-existent. I had to send back the first refrigerator (great Amazon service on the return) because it had a major dent at the corner. The second refrigerator was sent to me quickly but it also had a minor dent. Since it was mostly cosmetic, I decided to keep it and not worry about sending it back because I needed to use it. There were only 4 small pieces of styrofoam on the bottom four corners of the refrigerator. When the refrigerator arrived, the box was nearly falling apart. It's obvious that this packaging was not designed for shipping. |
Woefully Inadequate Packing

| The refrigerator seemed OK, but it was packaged so poorly that it arrived with paint peeling off, the door hinge badly bent, the compressor made a loud knocking sound, the door had a new hole in its tops (from the hinge being shifted). The door would not close, the freezer coils were loosely hanging from being dislodged. There were major dents on 4 of its six faces. I can not believe these guys are in business with such poorly packaged products. I would be surprised if most of them did not arrive damaged. The packaging is one piece of carboard around the refrigerator with two pieces of sytroam at the bottom. |

| We had seen other reviews warning that the packaging was poor, but we thought perhaps the situation had improved. Alas no. The refrigerator arrived with two large dents, a hole through the insulation in the back, and bent coils. Amazon was very good about taking it back, but could only give a refund since the model was out-of-stock. |
